A4. DanBan Writer's Man: The Nook is the Barnes and Noble version of the Kindle and it works the same way. Amazon uses their own proprietary format for the Kindle, whereas Nook is mainly ePub.
The Calibre software, can sometimes convert back & forth between the formats....but if Amazon has DRM embedded in it, it's a gray area trying to remove that to make it other-reader compatible.
Also, there are a whole bunch of android reader deals (pantech) available--especially with Kohls Store Credit Card --> for the 30% discount code + PriceMatch + CashBack etc piled on -- could also be an option.
